The Chennai Principal Sessions Court has granted permission for further investigation into a corruption case against DMK MLA Vaithilingam. The allegations stem from his tenure as a minister during the AIADMK administration between 2011 and 2016, during which he is accused of accepting 280 million rupees in bribes.
The court has directed the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption to complete the inquiry and submit a formal report within three months.
