The Tamil Nadu government has imposed an interim ban on the export of mineral resources to neighboring states to prevent local shortages of construction materials. An official government order has been issued to formalize the restriction.
Under this directive, district collectors have been granted the authority to prevent the transportation of construction materials, including M-sand and crushed stone, across state borders.
