Heavy to extreme rainfall across the Cauvery catchment areas in Kodagu, Chikmagalur, and Hassan, along with significant precipitation in the Kabini catchment in Wayanad, has led to a surge in water levels.
Authorities anticipate that the Kabini reservoir will reach its full capacity within the next one to two days. Furthermore, the persistent heavy rain in the region is expected to generate substantial inflows for the Hemavathy reservoir.
