A police inspector has been placed on the waiting list following allegations that he extorted 4 million rupees while threatening to implicate a complainant in the Armstrong murder case. Deputy Commissioner of Police for Pookadai, Gopi, is currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
The disciplinary action follows a formal complaint filed by Akhil Kumar, who alleged that the inspector demanded the money under the threat of framing him in the ongoing murder investigation.
