DMK President M.K. Stalin has defended Udhayanidhi, asserting that he is not someone who speaks carelessly. Stalin added that even if a mistake were to occur, Udhayanidhi possesses the nature to offer an immediate apology.
Stalin further accused the authorities of attempting to intimidate Udhayanidhi by filing multiple cases against him. He claimed that these actions were taken without regard for his status as the Leader of the Opposition.
