The Tamil Nadu government has unveiled its budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, detailing specific financial allocations across various departments. The Special Programme Implementation Department has been granted the largest share with an allocation of ₹17,150 crore, while the Higher Education Department will receive ₹8,393 crore.
Additional funding includes ₹3,937 crore for the Social Justice Department and ₹2,022 crore for the Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department. Furthermore, the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department has been allocated ₹1,051 crore.
