CBCID police have arrested sub-registrar Justin Manikandan in connection with the fraudulent registration of a land parcel in Palani. The property, valued at 100 crore rupees, was allegedly registered for only 2 crore rupees.
Manikandan is the fifth person to be arrested in the ongoing investigation. His arrest followed the cancellation of his anticipatory bail yesterday, leading police to take him into custody earlier today.
