PMK leader Sowmiya Anbumani has urged the government to enact legislation mandating that 80 percent of jobs in private companies be reserved for local youth. She emphasized that implementing such a policy would not impose any additional financial burden on the state.
Highlighting that similar laws are already in effect in states including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Haryana, she suggested that Tamil Nadu should adopt a comparable framework to prioritize local employment.
