The Directorate of Collegiate Education has officially withdrawn its directive that sought coordinated action to prevent college students and youth from participating in protests and agitations. The department confirmed that the previous letter issued on August 17 regarding this matter has been cancelled.
The circular announcing the withdrawal was issued by Joint Director P. Cynthia Selvi on behalf of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education. The order has been communicated to the principals of all government arts and science colleges.
