Adhav Arjuna has stated that the party maintains its position that the total number of parliamentary seats should remain at 543. He noted that the issue of delimitation was not discussed during the recent Southern Zonal Council meeting of Chief Ministers. Furthermore, he accused the DMK of altering its stance on the matter since moving into the opposition.
AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has asserted that his party remains firm in its demand that the 7.18 percent share of parliamentary constituencies allocated to Tamil Nadu must not be altered. Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin stated that no Chief Minister at the conference raised a demand to freeze the current count of 543 parliamentary seats.
