The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced revised transaction rules for Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) account holders. Under the new policy, customers will face restrictions on the number of free cash withdrawals permitted at bank branches.
Effective October 1, 2026, customers exceeding four cash withdrawals per month will be charged a fee of 15 rupees plus GST for each subsequent transaction. The bank clarified that all digital transactions will remain free of charge and unaffected by these new branch-based withdrawal limits.
