Chief Minister Vijay has urged the central government to provide a formal legal guarantee ensuring that no state will be disadvantaged by the upcoming delimitation process. Speaking at a conference of southern state chief ministers, he emphasized that states should not lose their political representation as a consequence of their success in controlling population growth.
He further called upon the central government to implement measures that protect the existing level of representation for all states, ensuring that no region faces a reduction in its legislative standing.
