Ongoing infrastructure development at Chennai Egmore railway station has necessitated temporary changes to express train services, effective until August 26. Southern Railway officials confirmed that the schedule adjustments are required to facilitate the station improvement works.
Under the revised schedule, the Uzhavan Express between Chennai Egmore and Thanjavur will depart from Tambaram at 11:00 p.m. daily until August 25. Similarly, the Mangaluru Central Express will depart from Tambaram at 11:40 p.m. each night through August 25.
