DMK members staged a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly today after they were denied an opportunity to speak on the proposed Parandur airport project. The opposition members had been pressing for a discussion on the development, leading to a heated exchange within the house.
Minister Thangam Thennarasu alleged that the Speaker had refused to take up a calling attention motion regarding the project for debate. Following the refusal, DMK legislators raised slogans and continued to demand the floor. Amid the ensuing commotion, the members ultimately walked out of the proceedings.
