Forest Minister Ranjith Kumar announced in the State Assembly that a specialized team, including four veterinarians, has been deployed to capture a tiger responsible for the deaths of Balakrishnan and Ravichandran in Gudalur, Nilgiris district. The minister was responding to a special calling-attention motion moved by opposition parties regarding the fatal attacks.
Officials confirmed that once captured, the tiger will be relocated to either the Vandalur Zoological Park or a designated tiger reserve. The operation is currently underway to ensure the animal is secured.
