Malaysian resident Vinosha Ravi has officially clarified that she is the woman featured in a viral video that was falsely linked to Tamil Nadu industries minister S. Keerthana. Vinosha stated that the footage, which shows her exiting a car, was recorded without her knowledge and subsequently misused to spread false narratives. She has since filed a formal complaint with the Malaysian police regarding the incident.
The controversy emerged after social media users drew incorrect comparisons between Vinosha and the Sivakasi MLA, leading to public scrutiny of the minister's attire. Minister Keerthana condemned the posts as evidence of a regressive mindset, asserting that a woman's clothing should not be subject to public trial or political attacks.
Vinosha expressed that the experience was emotionally exhausting due to the negative comments and mockery she received. She has now decided to step back from social media and has urged the public to stop sharing the edited video.
