Tamil Nadu Health Minister Arunraj informed the Legislative Assembly that the H1N1 swine flu outbreak in the state is fully under control. He assured the public that there is no cause for alarm, as the government is maintaining continuous surveillance to monitor the spread of the virus.
Addressing the assembly, the minister noted that pregnant women and the elderly are at a higher risk of infection. Consequently, the government has prioritized these groups for vaccination and is taking necessary measures to ensure they receive timely immunization.
