Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin has criticized the government for failing to provide adequate responses to issues raised in the legislative assembly, specifically citing a recent incident in Nepal. Stalin argued that despite bringing the matter to the government's attention, he received no satisfactory explanation.
"We are not here to criticize the government, but to seek answers on the Nepal incident. If you provide answers without us even raising the issue, what is the point of us coming to the assembly?" Stalin asked. He further noted a recurring practice where questions are only addressed after the Chief Minister speaks, referencing a previous incident in Karur.
In response, the Speaker stated that the government should be allowed to present its full information first, after which the opposition may share their own details. The Speaker questioned what harm would come from following this established procedure.
