The government is launching a new initiative to cover undergraduate tuition fees for Muslim female students to encourage higher education enrollment. Minister Shahjahan announced the scheme in the Legislative Assembly, confirming that an annual budget of 200 million rupees has been allocated for its implementation.
Additionally, the Minister announced a scholarship program for Muslim girls studying in classes 9 and 10 at government and government-aided schools. These students will receive an annual stipend of 2,000 rupees, with 82.8 million rupees earmarked for this specific initiative.
