Twenty-one Tamil nationals stranded by severe flooding in Nepal have been rescued and brought to Delhi. Minister Rajmohan confirmed that the group is scheduled to depart from Delhi for Chennai at 8:00 p.m. today.
Efforts are intensifying to locate and evacuate remaining Tamils still trapped in the region, particularly those from Kumbakonam and Thanjavur. The Minister stated that he is in constant communication with the Ministry of External Affairs to coordinate the rescue operations.
Many of the rescued individuals lost their passports in the floods. Authorities are taking all necessary measures to assist those still stranded and facilitate their safe return.
