A Chennai-based travel agency owner from Chromepet has identified a group of tourists seen fleeing in CCTV footage of the recent flooding in Nepal. He stated that the individuals, captured on camera wearing blue clothing, were part of the tour group he had organized and expressed hope that some who fled toward the mountainous terrain may have escaped safely.
The owner reported that the group had traveled toward the Chinese border, where they are now believed to be stranded in six feet of mud. He noted that while information regarding the flood impact is being provided by the Nepalese government, he has yet to receive any updates from Chinese authorities.
