A travel agency owner from Chromepet, Chennai, has identified individuals seen fleeing in blue clothing in CCTV footage of the recent Nepal floods as members of a tour group he organized. He suggested that some of the tourists may have climbed to higher ground to escape, while others might have crossed into Chinese territory.
Rescue efforts for the three groups trapped in the region remain difficult, as the Chinese border area is currently covered in six feet of mud. The agency owner expressed concern over the lack of communication from Chinese authorities, noting that he has only been receiving updates regarding the flood situation from the government of Nepal.
