A new power plant with a capacity of 1,600 megawatts is set to be established at the Tuticorin Thermal Power Station complex. The project will be executed through a public-private partnership at an estimated cost of 20,800 crore rupees.
The facility will feature two units, each with a capacity of 800 megawatts. Officials confirmed that the plant will utilize supercritical technology to achieve its total power generation target.
