Gold prices in Chennai increased today, with the cost of a sovereign rising by Rs 120 to reach Rs 1,15,080. The price per gram of gold also saw an uptick of Rs 15, bringing it to Rs 14,385. Market analysts attribute these daily fluctuations to ongoing shifts in international trade conditions.
This increase follows a notable dip observed on Monday, the first trading day after Sunday's market holiday, when gold was priced at Rs 14,370 per gram and Rs 1,14,960 per sovereign. Meanwhile, silver prices have moved in the opposite direction, decreasing by Rs 5 to retail at Rs 255 per gram.
