The India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall warning for northern and central states over the coming days. Meteorologist Naresh Yadav stated that East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh are expected to experience extremely heavy rainfall within the next 24 hours. Additionally, heavy rain is forecast to persist across Uttar Pradesh for the next three to four days, with similar conditions anticipated in Punjab, Haryana, and Bihar.
An orange alert has been issued for Delhi and the National Capital Region today. Officials expect precipitation to begin subsiding today, with light rain followed by improving weather conditions expected by tomorrow.
