Social Justice Minister Vanniarasu inspected government college student hostels in Dharmapuri, where he highlighted the state government's commitment to improving educational and health facilities for students. He also noted that the government has increased the food and maintenance allowance for hostel residents. The inspection was attended by Dharmapuri District Collector Saravanan and District Revenue Officer R. Kavitha.
Addressing the proposed construction of a new Rs 1,200 crore secretariat in Pattinapakkam, announced by Chief Minister Vijay, the Minister acknowledged concerns that the project could impact the livelihoods of local fishermen. He urged the government to carefully consider the demands of the fishing community, expressing confidence that the Chief Minister would make appropriate decisions with the welfare of the fishermen in mind.
