PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has welcomed the Tamil Nadu government's directive requiring all state employees to submit their asset declarations by October 31. Describing the move as a significant step toward eradicating corruption, he urged the administration to extend this mandate to include the Chief Minister, cabinet ministers, MLAs, and local body representatives.
In a statement, Anbumani proposed that elected officials be required to publicly disclose their assets every year on January 1 to facilitate social auditing. He argued that administrative integrity depends on the honesty of politicians and suggested that any unexplained increase in an official's wealth beyond a certain percentage should be subject to mandatory public explanation.
