A cyclonic circulation over the Comorin Sea is expected to trigger widespread convective rainfall across Tamil Nadu's interior districts. According to the latest GFS data, the 48-hour forecast leading up to September 15 indicates that this atmospheric system will bring rain to various parts of the state.
Over the next 10 days, interior regions are likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning. Specifically, 21 districts—including Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Salem, Dharmapuri, Kallakurichi, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Trichy, Karur, Namakkal, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Madurai, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, and Tenkasi—can expect intense heat during the day followed by heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at night throughout the coming week.
