Naam Tamilar Katchi chief coordinator Seeman has condemned the criticism and insults directed at actor Vijay Sethupathi, which stemmed from perceptions that his recent remarks were aimed at Chief Minister Vijay. Seeman questioned why members of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, from ministers to grassroots workers, are uniquely agitated by these comments compared to other political parties.
Emphasizing the need for democratic discourse, Seeman stated that differing opinions should be met with counter-arguments rather than hostility. He warned against attempts to suppress freedom of expression through verbal abuse and intimidation, asserting that expecting others to voice only agreeable opinions is contrary to democratic principles.
