Gold prices, influenced by international economic conditions, have seen fluctuations. After increasing on the 10th and 11th, prices had been declining for several days.
Yesterday, gold experienced a significant drop, with the price decreasing by Rs. 3,040 per sovereign and Rs. 380 per gram. A sovereign was sold for Rs. 1,08,560, and a gram for Rs. 13,570.
However, today, gold prices have slightly increased. In Chennai, the price of ornamental gold rose by Rs. 30 per gram, reaching Rs. 13,600. A sovereign now sells for Rs. 1,08,800, an increase of Rs. 240.
Silver prices remain unchanged today, with one gram selling for Rs. 255 and a bar of silver for Rs. 2,55,000.
