CPI Member of Parliament Subbarayan has voiced strong opposition to the government's plans to relocate the Chief Minister's office and the Secretariat to the 10th floor, as well as the proposal to establish a new secretariat in a satellite city.
He questioned the necessity of such expenditures given the state's current fiscal deficit.
Subbarayan criticized the government for prioritizing these costs while under pressure to increase revenue.
He warned that the administration is acting without proper oversight, describing the current approach as dangerous and comparing it to a riderless horse running without restraint.
