Indian Railways will introduce a new token system at reservation counters starting August 1 to streamline the process of booking Tatkal tickets. Under this system, passengers arriving at booking centers will be issued tokens, and tickets will be processed according to the sequence number assigned to each individual.
Passengers utilizing this service must carry a valid photo identification card, such as an Aadhaar card. To ensure a faster booking experience, officials advise travelers to have their personal details, including names, ages, and travel information, prepared in advance.
