India is currently developing its own space station, the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS). The project is scheduled for full completion by 2035, with the launch of the initial module, BAS-01, set for 2028.
The station will operate in an orbit between 400 and 450 kilometers above Earth. It is being engineered to support a crew of three to four astronauts for extended space missions.
