A suicide bombing outside the Kabal Police Station in Pakistan's Swat district resulted in the deaths of at least seven people on Sunday. Another 18 individuals sustained injuries during the attack and were transported to Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
Swat District Police Officer Umar Khan stated that the explosion occurred after security personnel attempted to stop and search the attacker at the station entrance. The blast took place while hundreds of people were gathered at the nearby Kabal Chowk to protest against rising terrorism in the region.
Security forces have cordoned off the site to conduct an investigation into the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, which caused widespread panic among the protesters.
