The Tamil Nadu government has announced significant funding for the education sector, allocating 44,527 crore rupees to school education and 8,393 crore rupees to higher education. As part of these initiatives, the state will provide bicycles equipped with helmets and water bottles to 500,000 students.
Additionally, the government has launched the 'Vetrim' laptop scheme for college students with a budget of 2 crore rupees and plans to establish a new student hostel at a cost of 10 crore rupees.
