The Tamil Nadu Secretariat Association has condemned a reduction of approximately ₹14,000 crore in the state government's pension fund allocation. The association alleged that these cuts were implemented in the first budget presented by the TVK government.
Furthermore, the association expressed concern over the complete cancellation of the ₹11,000 crore annual allocation for the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS), which had been introduced during the previous DMK administration.
