The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department has issued new guidelines for VIP visits to temples across Tamil Nadu. The department has mandated that temple administrations must ensure that VIP visits do not cause any disruption to the darshan of the general public.
Under the new protocols, VIPs are required to notify temple authorities of their visit at least one day in advance. Furthermore, photography and videography by VIPs within temple premises are strictly prohibited. The department has instructed all temple administrations to ensure that such visits do not compromise the sanctity or traditional practices of the temples.
