Anwarudeen, a lawyer incarcerated in Madurai Central Prison, has died. He was being held in connection with a land fraud case involving property valued at 100 crore rupees related to the Palani temple.
Authorities reported that the lawyer suffered a sudden heart attack while in custody. He was being transported to a hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.
