Chief Minister Vijay has announced an increase in the state government's incentive payments for farmers ahead of the paddy procurement season, which begins on September 1.
Under the revised structure, farmers will receive an additional incentive of ₹289 per quintal for fine-grade paddy and ₹159 per quintal for common-grade paddy, over and above the minimum support price. This adjustment brings the total procurement price to ₹2,750 per quintal for fine-grade paddy and ₹2,600 per quintal for common-grade paddy.
