The Tamil Nadu government has established a new committee to oversee the selection of trustees for temples with an annual income exceeding Rs 10 lakh. The committee will operate under the leadership of Bommapuram Adheenam Sivagnana Balaiya Swamigal.
According to an official statement issued by Secretary J. Kumaragurubaran, the committee includes film producer Archana Kalpathi, spiritual speaker Sumasri, retired IAS officer Sampath, retired district judge K. Ramanathan, and physician T. Velumurugan, alongside the Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Dr. K. Ramanathan has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the committee.
