Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara are at odds regarding the proposed site for Bengaluru's second airport. Shivakumar has recommended establishing the facility in South Bengaluru, approximately 50 to 70 kilometers from Hosur.
In contrast, Parameshwara has advocated for the airport to be located in the Tumakuru district, which is situated about 100 kilometers from Hosur. The conflicting proposals from the two leaders have become a significant point of contention for the state government.
