Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions in India have recorded significant growth over the past five years, according to a report presented in Parliament. The data highlights a steady upward trajectory in the total value of digital transactions processed through the platform.
Transaction values rose from 4,595.61 crore rupees in the 2021-22 fiscal year to 8,371.44 crore rupees in 2022-23. This momentum continued with figures reaching 13,112.95 crore rupees in 2023-24 and 18,586.60 crore rupees in 2024-25. Most recently, the value of UPI transactions climbed to 24,161.69 crore rupees for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
