A heated exchange took place in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly between DMK MLA Sekar Babu and Minister Ramesh regarding the cancellation of government tenders. Sekar Babu alleged that the government had scrapped tenders intended for public welfare projects, asserting that it is the responsibility of the current administration to complete projects initiated by the previous government.
In response, Minister Ramesh stated that the government had only cancelled projects deemed non-beneficial to the public. He defended the decision as the removal of unnecessary schemes and pointed out that several announcements made by Sekar Babu during his tenure as a minister in the previous administration remain unimplemented.
