Joyalukkas has secured a Rs 755 crore tender from the Tamil Nadu government for the 'Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram' gold ring scheme by bidding a nominal amount of just one paisa. The company emerged as the L1 bidder, outperforming other competitors in the process.
Under the terms of the agreement, the one-paisa bid covers all additional costs, including labor charges, wastage, hallmarking, and transportation, excluding the prevailing market price of gold. The contract was awarded to Joyalukkas after it proposed the lowest possible quote among all participating firms.
