DMK president M.K. Stalin has acknowledged that internal lapses by party officials contributed to the party's recent electoral defeat. He stated that the party failed to identify its own shortcomings and must now openly accept these mistakes.
In a move to restructure the organization, Stalin announced that the party will now appoint one district secretary for every two constituencies. Additionally, he introduced an age limit, stipulating that individuals can only serve as district secretaries until the age of 70.
