Minister Nirmal Kumar has announced that only 48 percent of the land required for the Parandur airport project has been acquired to date. The project requires a total of 5,846 acres of land, of which only 1,802 acres have been secured so far.
The total land requirement includes 3,774 acres of patta land, with 2,681 acres classified as triple-crop agricultural land. Additionally, the project area encompasses 1,972 acres of government land, which includes 1,558 acres of water bodies. The Minister clarified that 90 percent of the total land needed for the project remains to be acquired.
