A debate regarding the representation and security of the Muslim community took place in the Legislative Assembly today. During the session, TVK MLA Fakrudeen stated that he felt marginalized as a Muslim, while simultaneously thanking Chief Minister Vijay for providing 13 Muslim candidates the opportunity to contest in the recent elections.
Responding to these remarks, former minister E.V. Velu accused the TVK MLA of criticizing the DMK, which he asserted has consistently acted as a protector of the Muslim community. Velu emphasized that issues concerning the Muslim population remain a highly sensitive matter in Tamil Nadu.
