The Tamil Nadu government has officially cancelled the work order issued for the construction of an international-standard sports city in Semmancheri. The project, which was initiated during the previous DMK administration, has now been formally terminated through a notification sent to the contractor.
The project was originally valued at 206 crore rupees and was slated to cover approximately 112 acres. The government has issued a formal letter to the RPI company, which held the contract, confirming the cancellation of the work order.
