India has provided 60 tons of humanitarian aid to support victims of the recent flash floods in Nepal. While other nations, including the United States and China, have pledged assistance, India has moved quickly to initiate relief operations.
The first phase of aid began on August 26, followed by the delivery of 37.5 tons of supplies on August 27, which included food packets, blankets, temporary tents, and solar lamps. A third shipment, containing portable generators, water purification tablets, and additional food supplies, has also been dispatched.
To assist with ongoing recovery efforts, India has deployed an 11-member team consisting of medical professionals and field experts to Nepal.
