Sports Minister Aadhav Arjuna has confirmed that the proposed sports city project has not been cancelled but is currently undergoing restructuring. The government intends to develop the facility to Olympic standards, aligning with the vision of the previous administration.
To facilitate this, a new Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being prepared. The minister further alleged that the DMK government delayed the project despite including it as a commitment in their election manifesto.
